I have used traffic shaping techniques to optimize network performance and reduce latency by managing the flow of data packets. This can be achieved by limiting the amount of data that is sent and received over a certain period of time.
To illustrate this, I will use an example of shaping the amount of data sent over a period of time. By limiting the size of the packets sent and the rate of their transmission, I was able to reduce latency and ensure better performance of the network.
In order to do this, I followed the following steps:
• Analyzed the network traffic to identify which applications and protocols were dominating the network.
• Set up traffic shaping rules using Quality of Service (QoS) to limit the amount of data sent and received over a period of time.
• Monitored the network performance and latency to ensure the traffic shaping rules were effective.
• Adjusted the traffic shaping rules accordingly to ensure optimal network performance.
By using traffic shaping techniques, I was able to reduce network latency, increase network performance, and improve the user experience.
