Absolutely! One time, I had a guest who arrived very late at our hotel and was visibly upset because they missed a family event due to travel delays. After checking them in, I could see they were stressed and tired. I took the initiative to offer them a complimentary welcome basket filled with snacks and refreshments to help them feel more comfortable.
Additionally, I learned that they were hoping to video call their family for the event they missed. I offered to set up a quiet area in our lounge for them to have their call, ensuring privacy and a good internet connection.
