Yes, I have encountered a scenario where an AI model was underperforming. Specifically, I was working on a natural language processing model designed to classify customer feedback into different sentiment categories. Despite having a well-structured training dataset, the model's accuracy was noticeably lower than expected.
To troubleshoot the issue, I followed these steps:
1. Data Inspection: I began by examining the training dataset for any inconsistencies or imbalances. I discovered that there was a significant class imbalance, with a majority of the data labeled as "positive" and very few "negative" instances.
