Never speaking to a student unless it is part of another employees job to know, or a parent/friend unless their is an active signed authorization of release form within the students file listing that individual as a person which can be spoken to. Individual in question must provide government issued photo ID to ensure they are who they say they are. Making sure computer screen or hardcopy file is not visible to anyone who should not have access to view. If way from office make sure that all documents are locked up and computer screen is also locked or powered off.
