Candidates for this position are highly motivated and have working knowledge of network operations, fault diagnosis, repair, installation, configuration, cabling, passive infrastructure, troubleshooting, project execution as well as the ability to analyze and interpret numerous policies and procedures.

This includes a solid understanding of network architectures and engineering solutions.

The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, fast-paced and mission-focused environment is a must.

Primary Responsibilities Leads complex IT projects and initiatives within the assigned locations balancing and setting priorities for resources to meet or exceed scheduled deployments while sustaining day to day operational objectives.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Transport Field/Base Network Engineer (FBNE) staff assigned to include Incident Management, O&M, and support prioritization.

Supports the NOC Manager, Enterprise Operations Manager (EOM), Critical Situation Manager (CSM), Transport Operations staff and others as required to address and resolve operational issues escalated to the 24/7 team managed under NetOps.

Ensures FBNE team completes all Government Directed Action (GDA) in a timely fashion and reports completion to the NMCI Command Center to meet or exceed Service Level Requirements (SLR).

Supervise 10-20 direct-report employees which is comprised of employees and supplier partner organizations.
