The Community Safety organization is responsible for ensuring the trust & safety of our community of riders and drivers.
We work every day toward building a trusted community, fostering safe interactions, managing unsafe situations, and providing best-in-class support.
As a member of our Community Safety team, you will play a critical role in making transportation safer for all.
As an iOS engineer at Lyft, you will work hand in hand with various teams, fostering collaboration and driving innovation to improve our customers’ experience with rideshare.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate and maintain existing or new elements of our applications Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to build complex features and products from idea to positive execution Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable code Participate in code, product and design reviews to provide feedback to ensure best practices Analyze our internal systems and processes and locate areas for improvement/automation Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices Identify, triage, debug and resolve issues/bugs across our various applications and platforms Keep up-to-date with iOS and industry developments Experience: Minimum 3+ years of software engineering industry experience Worked on and shipped large scale iOS applications Experience with Swift Experience with SwiftUI, unit and snapshot testing, and creating shared components Experience with architecture paradigms like unidirectional and reactive programming, and other patterns commonly used in the industry Great product sense; you care about usability and good design Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team Benefits: Extended health and dental coverage options, along with life insurance and disability benefits Mental health benefits Family building benefits Child care and pet benefits Access to a Lyft funded Health Care Savings Account RRSP plan to help save for your future In addition to provincial observed holidays, salaried team members are covered under Lyft's flexible paid time off policy.
