Job Title: Application Security Specialist Type: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate Location: Toronto, Ontario Hybrid (2 days in Office in the GTA) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Application Security Specialist to join our Solutions Innovation, Design, and Development team.
This role will focus on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating software vulnerabilities in both cloud-based PaaS offerings and on-premises legacy solutions, particularly within healthcare-regulated environments.
You will work closely with software engineers, DevOps, and compliance teams to integrate security across the entire development lifecycle—while ensuring alignment with standards such as HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, and OWASP, while adhering to ISO-13485-2016 Quality Management System standards.
Primary Responsibilities Perform manual and automated security assessments of cloud and on-premises software.
Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the SDLC, including secure code reviews, threat modeling, and certificate handing.
