Senior Network Engineer - Full-Time Position Duration: Permanent Location : Hybrid in New York, NY (On-site, 4 days per week) Role Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain a robust, high-performance global trading network.
This role involves leading critical infrastructure projects, optimizing network performance, and ensuring security and reliability to support fast-paced trading operations.
Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and maintain a multi-vendor global network infrastructure tailored for trading environments.
Spearhead the development of new colocation and proximity data centers, focusing on resilience, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and optimize market data feeds for global exchanges, providing direct support to algorithmic trading teams.
Implement and enforce network security using next-generation firewalls, including VPN configurations, NAT policies, and secure access controls.
Optimize time synchronization systems (PTP/NTP) critical for trading operations.
Develop automation tools using Python and Ansible to streamline network operations.
