Senior Analyst, Investments Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (Hybrid) Our Client: Our client is a growing, Canadian-based financial services organization operating within a specialized segment of the insurance and retirement solutions space.

The Role: Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, the Senior Analyst, Investments will play a key role in supporting the organization’s investment function across portfolio management, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

This is a highly dynamic, team-oriented role with broad exposure to asset allocation, liquidity management, investment performance, and private market activity.

The mandate is designed for an individual who is intellectually curious, analytically strong, and eager to build investment expertise within a collaborative environment.

The role is positioned as a supporting analyst seat , working closely with senior team members and cross-functional partners, with the opportunity to gain exposure across the full investment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities: Support the preparation and presentation of investment performance and risk reporting for internal stakeholders, including senior management and board-level materials Monitor compliance with investment policies and assist in tracking portfolio exposures and risk metrics Collaborate with investment and risk teams on asset modeling, cash flow forecasting, and sensitivity analysis Assist in the implementation and ongoing monitoring of strategic asset allocation initiatives Support execution and monitoring of investment pipelines, including private market investments Partner with actuarial and finance teams to provide investment assumptions for modeling and business planning Coordinate with treasury, finance, and external investment managers to support liquidity management and funding requirements Ensure timely production and distribution of investment and risk reporting, maintaining accuracy and consistency of information Perform research and due diligence on new asset classes across public and private markets Support fund manager oversight activities, including monitoring performance, adherence to mandates, and addressing operational matters as they arise Contribute to the monitoring of key balance sheet risks, including interest rate, currency, and inflation exposures Assist in developing and enhancing processes for investment monitoring, reporting, and manager oversight The Ideal Candidate: 2–4+ years of relevant experience in investment, valuation, audit, or related analytical roles Background in one of the following is highly relevant: Public accounting (CPA / Big 4) with an interest in investments Valuations, restructuring, or transaction advisory Investment analysis or asset modelling Exposure to fixed income, derivatives, or alternative investments is an asset, but not required Strong Excel skills; experience with Power Query, VBA, or Python is considered an asset Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret financial information and identify key insights Familiarity with financial modelling, cash flow analysis, or ALM concepts is beneficial Strong communication skills, both written and verbal High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive mindset Ability to operate effectively in a small, collaborative, and less structured environment Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA (or progress toward) is an asset Ref #LI1640
