The Team Scotiabank’s Global Technology and Enterprise Platform (GTEP) Database operations (MSSQL) team takes care of end-to-end support for Microsoft data platform products across the globe where Scotiabank is present.

Physical & logical database services, from deployment, project support and after go-live steady state support is the essence of what we do.

Reporting to the DBA Manager, the Database Administrator would be supporting the MS SQL Server on-premises as well as on public cloud.

As a member of the database administration group, you will assist in the team effort to maximize the availability, security, and performance of the databases.

The Database Administrator is required to work hybrid (on site and work from home) as well as to be on-call for rotational after-hours support of the bank’s databases.

The Database Administrator must be prepared to provide remote dial-in support, in response to routine monitoring alerts and scheduled & unscheduled maintenance tasks occurring after hours and on weekends.
