Quality Assurance Engineer at ETHOS - Talent & Advisory
Description
Responsibilities Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases Focus testing efforts on real-world use case scenarios, particularly those relevant to enterprise customers Clearly document and communicate product defects to product management and engineering in a concise and actionable manner Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance test coverage and efficiency Contribute to the expansion and improvement of the existing test automation framework in partnership with other automation engineers Required Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of software testing concepts including planning, design, execution, and reporting Hands-on experience with scripting and programming using Python and JavaScript Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Pytest Solid understanding of database concepts and proficiency in using SQL with various database systems Exposure to system setup, lab environments, and network configuration Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile development environment Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with Apache projects such as Kafka, Flink, or Iceberg Background in observability tools and Real User Monitoring (RUM) Experience with containerized environments and virtual computing platforms Proficiency in testing Java services and RESTful APIs Knowledge of content delivery networks or software solutions related to content distribution
