A well-established private equity firm based in Washington, DC is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its investment team.

Candidate Profile 2–4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a comparable investing role Exceptionally strong financial modeling and analytical skill set Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented, thoughtful, and intellectually curious Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with open dialogue and mentorship Interest in building a long-term career in private equity Responsibilities Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial modeling, industry research, and qualitative analysis Build and maintain detailed operating and LBO models Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal investment committee discussions Support transaction execution, including coordination with advisors, legal counsel, and management teams Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence Actively monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation initiatives Participate in portfolio management, board materials, and exit planning Culture & Development Collaborative, low-ego investment team with strong mentorship and sponsorship High visibility with senior partners and principals Emphasis on thoughtful decision-making rather than aggressive deal volume Supportive environment that values diverse perspectives and leadership styles Competitive compensation and benefits, with a sustainable approach to hours The firm is deeply committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team and strongly encourages applications from women and other underrepresented candidates in private equity.
