Piper Companies is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across large-scale environments for a client in the Columbia, MD area.

This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule (2 days per week onsite).

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer include: Design, plan, and implement LAN and WAN solutions for enterprise environments.

Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches (6500/4500/Nexus 2K, 5K, 7K, 9K), and Meraki wireless systems.

Manage enterprise-level WAN and Internet circuits, including inter-data center connectivity.

Implement and support network security technologies (Cisco Sourcefire IDPS, FTD; Zscaler; Cisco ISE; Palo Alto NGFWs; Palo Alto GPVPN; Cisco ACI; SilverPeak SD-WAN).

Configure and maintain Site-to-Site VPNs.

Perform network performance analysis using packet capture tools (Wireshark and similar).
