The Opportunity Northreach is partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Network & Security Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team.

The Role As a Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of campus network infrastructure and access control systems to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing operations.

You will play a key role in maintaining network integrity, troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting system upgrades, and collaborating with security teams to ensure access control systems operate effectively.

This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative IT team.

Key Responsibilities Responsible for daily maintenance and management of campus network and access control systems to ensure stable system operation Monitor network performance, promptly identify and resolve issues to maintain network security and reliability Install, configure, and upgrade network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls Coordinate with security teams to install, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain access control systems Provide technical support and user training related to network and access control systems Troubleshoot network faults and optimise performance Maintain and update technical documentation to ensure standardised operational processes Utilise network monitoring tools to proactively manage infrastructure performance What We’re Looking For Associate degree (or overseas equivalent) or above in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in network management and access control system maintenance Experience within campus or large enterprise network environments preferred Cisco CCNP certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, and related technologies Hands-on experience configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls Experience with installation, debugging, and maintenance of access control systems Proficient with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar platforms Strong troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and network security knowledge Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure Fluent English (written and spoken) for technical communication and documentation Why Consider This Role Opportunity to work within a stable and well-structured IT environment Exposure to enterprise-level network and security infrastructure Collaborative team culture with cross-functional interaction Competitive package aligned with experience If you are an experienced Network Engineer with strong security awareness and are looking to take the next step in your infrastructure career, we would love to hear from you.
