Job Summary This position is located within the Department of Health Care Finance (DHCF), Office of the Medical Director (OMD).
The mission of DHCF is to improve health outcomes by providing access to comprehensive, cost-effective and quality healthcare services for residents of the District of Columbia.
The incumbent serves as a Maternal Health Coordinator responsible for aligning maternal health activities across DHCF and the District of Columbia, including providing clinical oversight, engaging participating providers and sites, leading standing maternal health advisory groups, and providing feedback to federal agencies.
Duties And Responsibilities Assesses and evaluates maternal health clinical needs across Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service programs; analyzes utilization of maternal health services; makes recommendations to the OMD and DHCF executive team to improve maternal health outcomes.
Leads and participates in meetings and discussions with providers, plans, community-based organizations, and advisory committees on maternal health service delivery and clinical issues.
Analyzes opportunities to support eligible Medicaid beneficiaries and providers.
Works collaboratively with grant recipients, providers, and key community stakeholders to meet care delivery milestones.
