Overview We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join a leading federal healthcare organization supporting mission-critical applications.

This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is passionate about building scalable automation solutions, improving software quality, and collaborating closely with developers in a CI/CD-driven environment.

You will play a key role in developing reusable automation frameworks, supporting testing initiatives across multiple scopes, and contributing to reliable, high-quality software delivery that directly impacts federal healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities Support the design and development of scalable automation frameworks that are maintainable and reusable across teams Write and maintain reusable libraries, utilities, and automation scripts to improve engineering efficiency Collaborate with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to enhance product quality and resolve defects through root cause analysis Assist in integrating testing and automation tools within CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and consistent deployments Contribute to functional, integration, performance, and security testing efforts across applications Help optimize test stages within CI/CD workflows to improve pipeline stability and test reliability Follow coding best practices and participate in code reviews to support a strong engineering culture Evaluate new tools and technologies and provide recommendations for improving automation and testing processes Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in Software Engineering, QA Automation, or related development role Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript Basic understanding of automation frameworks and software testing principles Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.) Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative team setting Preferred Qualifications Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) Knowledge of REST APIs and basic integration testing Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Experience in healthcare, federal, or regulated environments is a plus Understanding of software quality, test reliability, and debugging practices
