Job Title: IT Support/ Data Center Technician Location: Berlin/ Amberg/ Korschenbroich/ Laatzen/ Langenfeld/ Moenchengladbach / Remscheid, Germany Job Type: FTE Job Summary Provide on-site technical support in a data center environment, assisting remote teams with physical IT tasks to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities Perform hands-and-feet support for servers, network, and storage equipment Rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission hardware Replace failed components (disks, power supplies, cables, etc.) Assist with hardware installation, relocation, and upgrades Monitor data center alarms and escalate issues as required Maintain inventory and update asset management records Follow change management and safety procedures Coordinate with remote engineers and vendors Required Skills & Experience Experience in data center or IT support roles Basic knowledge of servers, networking, and cabling Ability to follow technical instructions remotely Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation Physically able to lift and move equipment as required Preferred Skills Experience with structured cabling Knowledge of Linux/Windows hardware environments Understanding of data center best practices
