Description
SALARY RANGE: $40,060-$59,700 POSITION TYPE: ONSITE Position Summary The Housing Specialist assists in the ongoing administration and maintenance of a range of local and federal rental assistance programs.
These programs promote housing stability and prevent homelessness with low-income residents and individual and families experiencing mental illness, addiction, trauma, medical conditions, and disabilities.
The role involves working directly with program participants, landlords, and community partners to ensure compliance with programs regulations.
Key Responsibilities Manage waitlists for assigned Housing Programs, as Review housing applications and corresponding documentation, and where applicable make eligibility determinations and/or recommendations.
Review leasing packets for accuracy prior to ordering inspection of units.
Coordinate initial and annual inspections.
Conduct annual subsidy recertifications and rent calculations.
Perform interim reexaminations and adjustments as needed.
