Hardware Engineer – mTIB Support (OCTA/NFTA)_Columbia, MD (On-site / hybrid)_Contract (6 Months) Position Title: Hardware Engineer – mTIB Support (OCTA/NFTA) Location: Columbia, MD (On-site / hybrid) Employment type: Contract Duration: 6 Months Justification: Required to assist the mTIB developer with integration and hardware validation support for transit systems at OCTA and NFTA.
Experience Level: 5-10 years Job Responsibilities: Provide hardware integration, validation, and troubleshooting support for internally developed hardware boards to be deployed transit sites.
Collaborate closely with the product development team to ensure hardware and software components integrate seamlessly with existing transit infrastructure.
Conduct comprehensive hardware validation and acceptance testing to ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with transit authority standards.
Support deployment, configuration, and commissioning of custom hardware in field environments.
Analyze hardware issues reported from field operations and develop effective corrective actions.
Work with cross-functional teams including software engineers, system architects, vendors, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for hardware configurations, integration processes, test plans, and troubleshooting procedures.
