The Director of Intelligence & Investigations serves as the league’s lead investigative analyst and intelligence strategist, supporting MLS’s mission to provide a safe and secure environment for players, staff, officials, and fans.

This role is central to the League’s 'risk-based, intelligence-led' security model, combining investigative insight, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and predictive analytics to anticipate and mitigate emerging threats.

The Director will monitor global and domestic events, assess potential operational and reputational impacts, and translate data into actionable intelligence for league and club leadership.

This role also serves as a critical liaison to government and private-sector partners, integrating intelligence into daily operations and long-term strategy.

Intelligence Operations Develop and maintain a leaguewide incident and intelligence database to track fan misconduct, security incidents, and emerging threats.

Monitor global and domestic events, social media, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) platforms to identify potential risks to MLS operations, teams, officials, and players.

Leverage predictive analytics and trend analysis to proactively address vulnerabilities.

Generate regular intelligence briefings, dashboards, and weekly updates for MLS leadership and clubs.
