Baltimore Street Baltimore, MD 21201 Hybrid schedule available (up to 3 telework days permitted each week) POSITION DUTIES The main purpose of this position is implementing administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of PII to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, timely, and complete.

Guided by the Privacy Act of 1974, the position applies Fair Information Privacy Practices (FIPPs) principles, including transparency, individual participation, purpose specification, data minimization, use limitation, data quality and integrity, security and accountability, and auditing.

The role also serves as the Agency Data Officer (ADO), advising MSDE leadership on the impact of the Maryland Data Governance Policy and consulting with divisions to improve data governance and maturity.

Minimum Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Governance, Cybersecurity, Education Administration or a related field Experience : Three years or more of experience in data privacy, data governance, or related work Desired Or Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualification(s).
