GRADE 17 LOCATION OF POSITION Baltimore, Maryland POSITION DUTIES We are seeking a motivated Computer Network Specialist Trainee (Tier II) to join our IT team.

This position is designed for individuals with foundational IT support experience who are ready to advance their skills in troubleshooting, system administration, and enterprise-level technologies.

The trainee will work under supervision, handling escalated issues and gaining hands-on experience with advanced IT service desk operations.

Key Responsibilities Respond to and resolve escalated tickets from Tier I technicians Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues Assist with Active Directory administration, including user accounts and group policies Support enterprise applications and Microsoft 365 environments Perform workstation imaging, deployment, and configuration Document solutions and contribute to the knowledge base Collaborate with other IT teams for incident resolution and project support Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices PLEASE NOTE : ITD is responsible for the 24x7x365 support for ADC mainframe, distributed systems, and networks.

All ITD employees are available for on-call support.

As such, this position is required to occasionally work an off-hour schedule, weekdays prior to 7:30 a.m.
